My objective is to identify problems I can solve and work to solve them for my clientele.

I invite you to share your engineering challenges with me:

Heuristics + Knowledge = Experience
Equipment & Tools + Materials & Resources = Capability
Experience + Capability + Effort = Solutions

This is a brief tour of my engineering & work background:

    • Craft and implement various tailored service solutions for Customers with older equipment no longer serviced by OEMs
  • Field service engineer, FEI Company, at Intel, 2001-2006
    • Did stuff, learned more stuff about semiconductors, worked with many fine colleagues
  • Field service engineer, BOC Gases, at Fujitsu, 1997-2001
    • Did facilities stuff, mostly with specialty gases; learned stuff about the semiconductor industry
    • Met my business partner, Kurt
    • Thanks, Steve Gleason, for being a great mentor! Honorary founding member of Fromeco, before the Scale Avionics part happened
  • Machinist Mate (nuclear), US Navy, 1986-1997
    • Did Navy stuff, learned how to get stuff done correctly and on time
    • Learned to act like a sailor, whatever that implies

Yes, I have a college degree. It is for Nuclear Engineering Technology from Thomas Edison college. I’ve never considered it particularly formative, however, more of an accreditation of the experiences & interests that I’ve shared above.
